Auberge Shalom’s shelter:
what to expect when you arrive
When you (and your children) first arrive, you will be able to take the time you need to settle in, regroup and relax. If you’re hungry, we will provide you with a warm kosher meal, doing our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. We will show you to your private room, with a bed and clean linens, dresser, and night table. If you had to leave your home quickly, we can provide basic items for you (and your children). Auberge Shalom can help you with transportation to the shelter. Our location is confidential.
In shelter, you’ll meet your primary counsellor who will support you during this challenging transition. Throughout your stay at Auberge Shalom, our counsellors will provide you with support with immigration, legal, employment, medical and educational services and with access to safe and secure housing.
Our goal is to ensure your safety and comfort so you can focus on healing.
All our services are confidential, free and accessible. Call 514-731-0833 to learn more.
