Support Groups
Experiencing domestic abuse can lead to feelings of isolation, reduced self-worth, loneliness. Auberge Shalom’s support groups offer psycho-social support and education around conjugal violence and the skills needed to recover from trauma and build resilience in an environment of safety and connection. Our counsellors work collaboratively with survivors of conjugal violence providing a space for women to express themselves, forge connections and friendships with others, build their knowledge and skills.
Throughout the year Auberge Shalom offers three Support Groups: Healthy Relationships, Parenting in the Context of Conjugal Violence and Healing through Self-Care.
In addition to support groups we also organize activities to break social isolation and encourage women and children to connect. Past events organized include: Challah making, yoga, apple-picking, and paint nights.
