Signs of Abuse

There are many signs of an abusive relationship and every situation is different. If you find that you are afraid of your partner, this may be a sign of an unhealthy or abusive relationship.

Leaving Safely

The decision to leave an abusive partner can be difficult. Many people ask, why women stay? Often the decision to stay is complex and linked to the safety of you and your children, financial dependence, feelings of shame, and your place in the community. It is important to have a safety plan whether or not you’re ready to leave an abusive relationship - our counsellors can help.
