24 Hour Support Line

A phone call is a first step in disclosing a situation of abuse. It can be anonymous and is always confidential, allowing women to feel safe and protected. The calls we receive range from:

  • crisis intervention:  “I need to leave now”;
  • gathering practical information about laws and rights, services and programs;
  • the impact of the abusive situation on one’s family.

Women may call the line a number of times before deciding where to go or what to do. There is always a staff member available to provide callers with the support and information they may need.

The line can also be used by family members and professionals seeking assistance to help others who are in abusive relationships.
